To coincide with today’s lunar eclipse, A Bathing Ape (or better known as BAPE) unveiled itsTransformers Special Collection. Scheduled along with the third and final installment of Transformerslive-action movie, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, BAPE decorated a series of BABY MILO graphic tees with the Autobots’ insignia and facsimiles of its leader, Optimus Prime.  With help from toy maker TOMY, BAPE also resurrected the schematic for the original Optimus Prime toy figure, re-done in BAPE First Camo pattern. Renowned architect Zaha Hadid latest project has taken her to Glasgow to create the Riverside Museum, highlighted by an amazing zig-zagging, zinc-clad roof. Housing a museum of transport with over 3,000 exhibits, the building has a 36 metre-high glazed frontage overlooking the River Clyde. The building zig-zags back across its site from this pointy roofline in folds clad with patinated zinc panels. Strips of lighting inside follow seams in the green underside of the undulating roof. A Utah man was charged for disorderly conduct after he paid a medical bill with $2,500 in pennies. Jason West allegedly had an outstanding bill of $25 at the Basin Clinic in Vernal, Utah. He went there to dispute the charge and asked the clinic Clerc if they accepted cash and preceded to “dump” the pennies on the counter demanding the staff count the pennies, assistant Police Chief Keith Campbell said. Aakash Nihalani continues to bring out his street art involving his isometric rectangles and squares. His latest pieces involve a strange and illusionary over-sized falling dominoes, raining bricks, and a 3-D cube walking path as well as other works he’s placed throughout the city of New York. He utilizes brightly-colored sticker tape, in order to help people step into a different New York and offers the opportunity to see the city more playfully, as a world dominated by the interplay of very basic color and shape.


Pharrell Williams designed a glass sculpture to be exhibited as part of the GLASSTRESS show during the Venice Biennale, starting this week. ““Inside Out” is located at the Berengo Centre for Contemporary Art and Glass in Murano. The sculpture is of 2 angel skeletons. One is just over 6 feet tall and the smaller one flying behind it is about 18 inches.
